Antique Sterling Silver Luen Wo Shanghai Chinese Export Spoon
The stamp is, as far as I can tell, is Luen Wo, in Shanghai, circa late 1800’s - early 1900’s.
Seems hand hammered to me, is very delicate.
The bowl has a crane or heron in some sort of plant or tree etched inside. The handle is soldered seemingly by hand, is plain, and at the tip there is what I am assuming is a lotus. Please see photos.
Measures approx 7 3/8” long
Weighs approx 20 grams
Good condition, needs polish and it seems there are slight dents on the rear of the bowl, bending of the stem, etc. It does seem to be hand made, so more delicate and primitive. Please see photos and ask questions.
