    Description

    A bamboo and wooden slips book in a wooden gift box from Wenzhou Medical College, whose insignia is inscribed in top corner of box with other Chinese inscriptions - see box pics.
    Bamboo and wooden slips (Chinese: 简牍; pinyin: jiǎndú) of the ancient books written on strips of bamboo with incised or painted letters. 6.25-inch wide x 36-inch long;  This has non-laquered pages with a rich color and a Chinese Shèngrén (wise man) inscribed near the middle pages.  Very good condition of both wooden box and bamboo book; includes a magnifying glass for character reading.
