Fine Chinese Embroidery Rank Badge 5th Rank Silver Pheasant

Offered here is a fine Chinese embroidery rank badge. The rank insignia is the silver pheasant with its prominent 5 tail plumes for the 5th rank. Overall embroidered with small counted stitch on gauze. The bird is done with couched gold thread and the wave border is executed in fine laid silver and gold threads. It measures approx 11.25 inches square. Very good condition , there is a tiny spot of wear on the wave border, please see the photos. The back is lined in light weight red silk. There is some old insect damage on this silk but it doesn’t carry through to the front. A good collector item . Please ask all questions before bidding . Buyer pays all shipping costs.
